The Portal Address Most Students Get Wrong

BISE Lahore runs its result service on a separate address from its main website. Results open at result.biselahore.com, while biselahore.com carries notifications, date sheets and board announcements.

Every year a large number of Lahore candidates land on the homepage, find no result field, and assume the result has not been uploaded. It has — they are on the wrong address. If a page loads but shows nothing resembling a roll number box, check the address bar before assuming a delay.

Districts Under Lahore Board

Established in 1954, BISE Lahore is the oldest examination board in Punjab and registers the highest number of SSC candidates of any board in the province. That scale matters on result day: its servers absorb more simultaneous requests than any other Punjab portal.

Checking Your Result

Roll Number

Open the result portal, select SSC Part 1 (9th Class) Annual 2026, and type your roll number exactly as printed on your roll number slip — no spaces, no dashes. The portal returns subject-wise marks, total, grade and pass status.

Save the page as a PDF or screenshot it the moment it appears. Reloading later during peak traffic can take several minutes.

SMS — Code 800291

Type your roll number as a plain message with no prefix and send it to 800291. The reply gives your total marks and result status.

Lahore board’s SMS gateway runs separately from its web portal, which is why it keeps responding when result.biselahore.com slows. Keep at least Rs 10 balance; standard charges apply per message.

For subject-wise marks you still need the portal, the gazette, or your DMC.

Result Gazette

The gazette is the board’s roll-number-wise record of every Lahore board candidate. Find it on the official site under Results or Downloads, then search inside the PDF with Ctrl+F on a computer or the search icon on a phone.

Search by roll number rather than name. Lahore board’s candidate volume means common names return dozens of matches, and sorting through them takes longer than finding your roll number directly.

Reading Your Marks

SSC Part 1 carries 505 marks, and a candidate needs 33% in each individual subject to pass.

Your Part 1 score does not end there. Punjab boards combine SSC Part 1 and Part 2 into a single matric total of 1,100 marks, so your 9th class result already sets an upper limit on your final matric percentage. A student who loses 150 marks in Part 1 cannot recover them in Part 2 — the ceiling is fixed before 10th class begins.

For Lahore candidates aiming at competitive Lahore colleges, this arithmetic decides admission chances long before merit lists are published, since colleges assess the combined 1,100-mark total.

Common Result Problems

• Marks lower than expected. Rechecking verifies totalling and confirms no question was left unmarked. It does not re-evaluate your answers. Collect the form and current fee from the board office at 86 Mozang Road, or the official website.
• Practical marks missing. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science totals combine theory and practical scores, which upload on different schedules. See how practical marks are counted before filing anything.
