The Newest Board in Punjab

BISE Sahiwal was established in 2012, making it the youngest of the nine Punjab boards by more than twenty years. Before that, candidates from Sahiwal, Okara and Pakpattan registered with Multan board and travelled considerably further for document work.

Two practical consequences follow from that history.

First, older family members and some school records still refer to Multan board for this region. If a parent or elder sibling tells you to check the Multan portal, they are working from a pre-2012 memory. Sahiwal, Okara and Pakpattan candidates check bisesahiwal.edu.pk.

Second, Sahiwal is one of the smaller boards by candidate volume, which generally means its portal holds up better under result-day load than the larger boards. That is not a guarantee, but it is a real difference.

Board office: Farid Town Road, Sahiwal. SMS code: 800292.

Districts and Tehsils

  • Sahiwal — Sahiwal, Chichawatni
  • Okara — Okara, Depalpur, Renala Khurd
  • Pakpattan — Pakpattan, Arifwala

Okara is the largest district by population under this board, and Okara candidates frequently search for an Okara board that does not exist.

Checking Methods

Roll number. Open the result section, select SSC Part 1 Annual 2026, type your roll number with no spaces, and submit. Subject-wise marks, total and grade appear together. Save or screenshot immediately.

SMS 800292. Roll number only, plain message, no prefix. Returns total marks and pass status. Works without an internet connection.

Gazette PDF. Download from the board website, then press Ctrl+F and search your roll number. This is the route when a roll number slip has been lost, and the method schools use to verify a whole class in one pass.

What Your Part 1 Result Actually Decides

Passing requires 33% in each individual subject. SSC Part 1 carries 505 marks.

Those 505 marks are not standalone. They are added to your SSC Part 2 marks to produce a matric total out of 1,100. Your 9th class result therefore sets a fixed ceiling on your final matric percentage before 10th class begins.

Two students illustrate it. One scores 360 out of 505; the other scores 450. Both work hard in Part 2. The first cannot exceed roughly 87% in matric no matter what they do. The second can reach 95%. The gap was decided in Part 1.

For students in this region applying to colleges in Sahiwal, Okara and Lahore, that combined 1,100-mark total is what merit lists read — not Part 2 alone. Our FSc admissions guide covers how the total translates into stream and college options.

If Something Needs Fixing

A science total looks short. Theory and practical marks reach the board separately, so the figure often completes within a day. See how practical marks are counted.

Marks appear miscounted. Rechecking verifies totalling and unmarked questions within a limited window. It does not re-assess your answers. Collect the form and current fee from the board office on Farid Town Road.

Your name is printed incorrectly. Correct it now, at the Part 1 stage — it is far simpler than discovering the error on your matric certificate. Our guide on wrong names on result cards lists the documents required.

You failed a subject. Reappear in that paper only. Read the next steps and the supply exam process.
